Lets face it, you know when you walk into a car dealership you are going to be confronted by someone who probably didn't do very well at school and who loves the power of his suit and more importantly is going to screw you. I've bought a lot of cars, some old some new, but whenever I've had to spend time with a dealer it always leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth.

Maybe its because they are probably overcharging you for the car you're about to buy.....maybe its because you know the figure they are going to give you for your trade in is insulting, or maybe its just the fact that he's probably spents a lot of his spare time having a wafty crank and at some point you're going to have to shake his hand.

I think its the two pronged attack that gets me.....yes you pay over the odds for the new car in the first place, but I bet they rub their hands when they offer you a rediculous figure for your trade in and you say yes.....and then the stupid quibbling about a tank of petrol being included and of course the 'it'll have a full service before it leaves' which means, we'll stamp the book.
