Have you ever used the search to look up Live events ?

Well after a long spell of not doing so I spent the last day travelling around the many venues in second life looking at live vocalists and musicians who must be sitting there in front of their pc's at home for our entertainment........where else can you do that in the world, have a live musician anywhere in the world piped in through your headphones for your enjoyment and costing pennys !

Don't get me wrong, the talent is deffinately 'diverse' and there is something for everyone one, the saying 'you get what you pay for' doesn't always ring true. amongst all the 'folk' and 'accoustic middle of the road' stuff I have heard some astonishing voices from all over the world.

If you want feel good factor try searching for the singer doing covers that aren't in his native tongue, I had a greta time listening to a crooner yesterday who had his audience wailing, not just becuase he had a gift but also because of the entertainment factor, its not all about the music and this guy deffinately entertained.

One of my favourites was a brazilian singer (not the guy above), great voice did both in his native language and english for those of us not so talented with languages. A great venue and he deffinately deserved the mountains of tips he got, I guess I'll have to start noting down anmes because live acts are deffinately something secondlife is good for.

DO NOT BUY SION CHICKENS

Believe me, you'll get bored, they'll do your head in, you'll get fed up with buying them food ....and then when you don't, even though they aren't real and all they have done is clucked and cost you money you're still going to feel guilty about destroying them to your inv, or letting them starve or trying to kill them !

Those that don't know what I'm talking about will be glad to know I'm not talking about real chickens, but rather ones you find in Second life. think of pyramid selling in the form of farmyard animals,, yes those cheeping little balls of yellow fluff you bought for just a few lindens will need nurturing until they get to an age when they can produce eggs, and produce eggs they will !! in fact once you've spent a fortune feeding them up to the age of fertility they won't stop, egg after egg after egg, and if you don't buy another gadget or destroy them before you know it you'll have a load of screaming chicks, all of which need feeding. Then what do you do ?

Well as always I thought I had a solution, the instructions say don't kick em or you may harm them......well they might not be able to handle a boot up the back side, but they can handle an uzi alright, even 2 of em !

I'd had enough so got the odl guns out and decided to blat them to kingdom come....to my horro they just shot straight up, my chickens could fly !! But still wouldn't die ! So it became a bit of a game, shoot....watch the poor chickens go orbital then spend half an hour hunting them down before firing them into oblivion again, but this is only fun for a while and the neighbours do complain when they find a chicken clucking around their land making the place look untidy, so unfortunately, off to the Sl slaughter house they went.

The moral of the story......don't become an SL farmer.....they aren't real, they cost time and lindens and you can't keep a good chicken down.............
